IMPORTANT - Please read the following information carefully, as many items have been updated for 2008!

REGISTRATION
Register early to save money and to guarantee campus housing, meals and transportation.

ONLINE REGISTRATION!
Beginning January 1, 2008, you can register online. You will receive a confirmation letter that contains additional conference information once your payment is processed. Registrations will not be processed without full payment. If you register within three weeks of the start of the conference, you may not receive a confirmation letter. Please call to verify your registration. Registrations received within five business days of the conference will be charged an additional $15.

On-site conference registration and meal plans are available. However, the availability of housing is not guaranteed.

IMPORTANT: All participants must check in at the St. Joseph Center. Important conference information, nametags, and housing assignments will be given at check-in.

ADULT CONFERENCES
We at Franciscan University foster and love families. However due to our staffing, facility constraints, and insurance regulations, we are unable to provide childcare during the conferences. In addition, our meeting rooms and residence halls were not designed with young children in mind, and therefore are not safe for children. Because of this, children under the age of 12 are not allowed to attend Franciscan University's adult conferences. Please note that any requests for exceptions must be referred to a professional staff member. Nursing infants are permitted to attend sessions with a parent, but are not permitted to be housed on campus.

PRIESTS
The registration fee is waived for priests with faculties who attend any on-campus adult conferences except Priests, Deacons, and Seminarians. This waiver does not include food or housing costs. Advance registration is required. Priests are asked to bring their albs and stoles to assist in sacramental ministry at the conferences.

PRIESTS, DEACONS, AND SEMINARIANS CONFERENCE
This conference is for Catholic priests and deacons, and for seminarians currently enrolled in a recognized seminary.

ST.JOHN BOSCO CONFERENCE

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY
If you are unable to attend a conference for any reason, you may cancel your registration and request a refund in writing. All refunds are subject to a $25 cancellation fee. All cancellations or refund requests must be received in writing at our office within five business days of the close of the conference for which you are registered. You can email a cancellation and refund request to conferences@franciscan.edu.

We are able to transfer a conference registration to another participant, if you are unable to attend and the following criteria are met:

  • The entire registration package is transferred (including meals and housing if applicable).
  • The transfer must be within the same conference.
  • Requests for transfers must be received in writing.
Due to commitments that must be made prior to each conference, we are unable to issue any refunds for housing, meals, or transportation that are requested within 5 business days before a conference.

Refunds may take up to six weeks to process.

PAYMENT INFORMATION
Franciscan University accepts US funds only. All payments must be made with a credit card, money order, or personal check drawn on a US bank. Due to hidden limitations imposed by most banks, we cannot accept debit cards as a form of payment. If you are paying for more than one person or for more than one conference, you will have individual charges on your credit card bill for each.

NSF CHECK POLICY
The University deposits a check a second time if it is rejected due to insufficient funds on the first deposit. If the second attempt fails, the registrant will be notified that payment in full is due within one week by money order, cashier's check, or credit card.

The Christian Conference Office charges a $25 handling fee for each NSF check. In addition, your bank may assess a fee to your account.

REGISTRATION ASSISTANCE
If you are unable to pay the registration fee, we ask that you first seek assistance from your local parish and community resources. If local help is not available, you may request registration assistance by writing to the Christian Conference Office, Attention: Katherine Vandenbergh, explaining your circumstances.

Requests for registration assistance must be received in writing by May 1, 2008. All determinations are based on need and will be made by May 15, 2008. Recipients will be notified in writing. Funds are limited. Assistance applies to the registration fee only.
